FLUSHING, NY - Last weekend, Rev. Yuan Zhi-ming preached at the 20th Anniversary service for the Boon Christian Broadcasting Center in New York. His message touched the hearts of the listeners.

At the beginning of his sermon, Yuan pointed out that the question of life is a fundamental question of Christianity. Other religions emphasize on ethics, knowledge, training for piety, deeds, but only Christianity emphasizes on life.

The life that Christianity speaks about is equivalent to the life of the human body. From the essential principle, the life of the flesh will become nothing at the end; even though man lives in sin, the ending is death; however, the life that Christianity points to is a new life, rebirth, which is a life of eternity and harvest.

What kind of future outlook does the people today live with? Yuan compared man to a kite with broken strings that is floating in the sky. Although it looks like it is freely flying, it has actually lost the direction. Its conclusion is crashing into the ground and breaking into pieces. Similarly, when man leaves God, his spirit is dead, moaning painfully in the sinful world; not matter how hard he struggles, he cannot escape the power of death.

Jesus brought the light of life to the sinners, he said, that whoever places their faith in him will escape the control of sin and receive a newborn life. Not only so, this type of life is eternal and abundant.

Yuan hopes that those who haven’t believed in the Lord can hold onto the precious promise of Jesus, repent of their sins to accept Jesus as their personal savior, so they can exit from death and enter, receiving a brand new life.
