YWAM Commissions New International Director, Chair

Three Youth With A Mission (YWAM) bases recently joined a celebration and commissioning held at The Oval in Harpenden, England, on August 28, through a GENESIS multipoint link.

The international GENESIS gathering, with bases participating from Lausanne, Switzerland; Kona, Hawaii; Worcester, South Africa; recognized the efforts of Jim Stier, Chairman of YWAM for his leadership and work in dispatching non-western missionaries, mostly from Brazil, into the nations, according to Cheri Morgan of YWAM Lausanne base staff.

Loren Cunningham, the founder of YWAM, then commissioned Iain Muir as YWAM’s new Intn'l Director and Lynn Green as YWAM’s new Intn'l Chair. Muir and Green will be working with YWAM President John Dawson.

“I was moved in awe again with who God is - particularly his faithfulness. I was impressed by how God has blessed this mission with people,” commented Morgan on the gathering. “People have been YWAM's blessing through the years & nations. We walk into the future on the foundations of many great leaders who have gone before us with obedience, sacrifice and boldness to simply do what God told them to do.”
