Zondervan released "The Leadership Secrets of Billy Graham," which gives 21 key principles of leadership based on Rev. Graham's life and ministry.

Bringing his simple message of salvation to over 210 million people in 185 countries, Rev. Billy Graham is widely known as the most influential leader for the evangelical movement in the twentieth century.

On August 1, Zondervan, an evangelical publisher of Christian books, released The Leadership Secrets of Billy Graham by Harold Myra the CEO of Christianity Today International and Marshall Shelley the executive editor of the Leadership Journal, which gives 21 key principles of leadership based on Rev. Graham's life and ministry.

Rev. Graham is mainly known as a pastor or a preacher, but few recognize him as a CEO and a global leader. However, his credits have ranged from Time Magazine naming him one of the top ten leaders of the twentieth century, to the Gallup Poll citing him as one of the ten "most admired men."

Through Rev. Graham's strong emphasis on applying his core beliefs, this book gives examples of how leaders from church to business can use Graham's life as a model of leadership.

The review by Publishers Weekly said, "[The authors] conclude by revealing what Graham and others feel are the true roots of his leadership abilities—humility, prayer, love, and openness to innovation," while further stating that this book will, "prove a tremendous resource for churches and many businesses, distilling much-needed leadership wisdom and interweaving it with the life example of a trusted and beloved man."

One excerpt from his book is:

One of the most profound effects of Billy's leadership has been his stoking the fires of other leaders beyond his own organization. Rick Warren, the author of the bestselling book The Purpose Driven Life said, "Billy's fingerprints of influence are all over my ministry." For many leaders today, Billy was both a voice of wisdom and a mentor. One unnamed leader remarked, "Billy's willingness to allow others to succeed may be his greatest lasting impact."

Rev. Graham's life and his devotion to God shaped the nation during his time, moreover his humility over his own acheivements was deeply revered. Taken from the book, Rev. Graham quoted, "God measures people by the small dimensions of humility and not by the bigness of their achievements or the size of their capabilities."
