GTA 5 Online Heists Improvement In Latest Update, Online Casino DLC Release Date News

Casino DLC coming to GTA V?
The sign on the front says "coming soon" Rockstar

Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA V) has been a major success for Rockstar Games, and the recent adoption of the Heists DLC (downloadable content) has enabled it to achieve even more success amongst its fans.  In addition to the improvements of the Heists DLC, there are now rumors that Rockstar will be adding a casino DLC very soon with an imminent release date.

With Heists now in full swing at last, after months of delays, one can't help but wonder what is next for Rockstar Games' vision of GTA V before GTA VI eventually comes around.  iDigital Times reports a tweet made by a "notorious GTA Online leaker funmw2, it seems the next update may be the often-hinted-at Casino DLC".

It is from the tweets of funmw2 that we have heard that new lines of code have been added to the servers in GTA Online, and these lines of code hint at a casino.  It wouldn't just be typical gambling like what you can find in any hotel in Las Vegas, but it could include games where you bet your car.

Other proof of the casino comes from a GTA V YouTube celebrity named iCrazyTeddy states that there is casino code as well as some leaked audio files from DomisLive, who provided a lot of leaked information about the DLC Heists before its release.  By the way, there is a casino building located at Vinewood Park, as you can see in the image for this article, and it should be noted that it has a sign out front that says "opening soon".

Unfortunately, we have no idea when the Casino DLC update will be coming to GTA V.  However, we have recently heard of some new updates to GTA V Heists that improve the game overall.  According to Gamestop, the addition of Patch 1.23 to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well as Patch 1.09 for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 is available now.

These patches introduce a new option for the Heist Planning Board that will allow players to press Left on the D-pad to quickly join a Heist as a crew member.  The patches have also added a "matchmaking" option that allows the Host to quickly change whether matchmaking is open or close. If set to "closed" only the players that you invite can join the session.   There is also an improvement in the "client invites" option which has been reinstated for the host of the lobby that is "on" by default, allowing players that have joined the heist to invite their friends.

There have also been a whole lot of miscellaneous bug fixes.  As for the graphics problem that we reported on earlier, and it not known if this will be addressed.

It appears that it is "in the cards" for Rockstar to add the Casino DLC very soon.  Hopefully, that feature will not be delayed as Heists Online was delayed, but perhaps Heists was delayed so there would less bugs for players to deal with.  Still, I don't think it would be difficult to build a casino within the context of Grand Theft Auto, so it should arrive soon.
