The players of NBA 2K16 loved the recent updated roster as well as getting locker codes, but the update to certain players like Steph Curry, Zach LaVine, and Aaron Gordon is definitely going to change NBA 2K17.  This is what is known about NBA 2K17 Release Date and News, as well as some information about NBA 2K16 Locker Codes and other bonuses like a price cut.

Last time we reported on NBA 2K17, we talked about how Steph Curry's overall rating was maxed out on NBA 2K16 in order to match with what the virtual athlete is capable of doing on the actual court.  A recent report from News Every Day states that Stephen Curry's signature moves are said to be a part of NBA 2K17, and there are reports saying that Zach LaVine of the Minnesota Timberwolves and Aaron Gordon of Orlando Magic will have their moves modeled in the newest iteration of the basketball game as well.

Forbes even reports that LaVine and Gordon were brought down to California to model for the game.  NBA 2K even tweeted pics and videos of the players dunking while doing motion capture, so it will be interesting to see what awaits NBA 2K17 as far as those players are concerned.  Motion capture and studying player moves have become a staple in the upgrade to the game, so perhaps these three star players will not be the only ones that will be receiving some new code when NBA 2K17 gets its official release date.

We have previously reported on how there will be an NBA 2K17, the Legend Edition, featuring Kobe Bryant.  The price of this edition is $79.99 on pre-orders at Best Buy and Gamestop, and this special edition will feature some physical items like a limited edition Kobe poster, two Kobe Panini trading cards, as well as a Black Mamba game controller skin.  It will also feature some digital content such as 30,000 of Virtual Currency, a My TEAM Bundle (with 3 packs of guaranteed Kobe limited use card), Nike Kobe 11 retirement shoes, Kobe #8 Mitchel and Ness Jersey, and a Kobe hoodie.

Gotta Be Mobile reports that the Facebook message revealing the NBA 2K17 Legend Edition did not reveal the exact release date for the game, and that also goes for the 2K store.  It is possible that it will show up around September 27, as the series is usually released to line up with real life NBA seasons.  The Legend Edition is not the official edition, and the coveted cover will be announced sometime in June with the "NBA 2K16 Road to the Finals" championship event.

If you can't wait until September, NBA 2K16 is still available with a reduced price on the Xbox One and PS4, and there has been a new roster added as of April 22nd.  Most NBA 2K16 players are also interested in Locker Codes, and there are ways to get them, such as this NBA 2K16 Codeshack here.  There was a lot of hype during the holiday season over locker codes, and hopefully the ones we previously wrote about here still work.  Some more recent ones can be found on NBA 2K Wishlist.
