Japanese game developer Bandai Namco is expected to make a major announcement about the release date of the much-anticipated and one of the most popular video games, Tekken 7, during the EVO 2015 competition to be held from July 17 to 19 at the Bally's / Paris Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fighting game has had a successful arcade launch in March featuring characters, including Gigas, Josie Rizal, Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Katarin and Claudio, according to Franchise Herald. Those characters are also expected to be included in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Tekken 7, the report added.

Silicon Era director Katsuhiro Harada hinted there would be more additional characters to be included in "Tekken 7" once the PS4 and Xbox One versions hit shelves. He said, "By the way, currently, we have four new characters, but later on we'll continue to add them through updates, so look forward to it. We don't plan on reducing the number of characters, so yes, we're thinking of adding more."

In the arcade version of Tekken 7, we saw the return of favorite characters, like Jin Kazama, Paul Phoenix, Yoshimitsu and Jack, now known as see Jack-7, featuring the same mohawked robot that gamers knew.

Kazumi Mishima Origins

A new playable character will be unveiled in the upcoming Tekken 7 game, a female boss known as Kazumi Mishima, wife of Heihachi Mishima, mother of Kazuya, and Jin's grandmother.  Like many in the powerful Mishima Clan, Kazumi has the devil gene coursing in her veins. In a YouTube video, Kazumi Mishima was shown having incredible fighting combos, she loves to teach animals how to fight. She can even call on her pet tiger to join her in defeating her opponent.

Kazumi's backstory is somewhat of a mystery, considering that the arcade edition is strictly a fighting game. However, the Tekken 7 trailer strongly suggests that Heihachi murdered her. The video ends with a vengeful Kazuya confronting his father. It is unclear whether the grandson Jin will be involved in this feud.

The current Tekken 7 runs on Unreal Engine 4, which makes a PC version very likely as personal computers also support the platform.

The anticipation of a PC version of the popular game was further ignited in an interview with

Harada with Korean Korean publication Inven and said, "We are considering a PC version for certain countries that prefer or need to play on PC."
