The video games industry gathers at the Los Angeles Convention Center for E3 every year, at one of the largest gaming conventions in the world.  This is what was announced at E3 2016, which is happening on June 14-16, with the latest news from Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, Bethesda, Ubisoft, and EA. 

Nintendo

We know for sure that the company will dedicate its booth to the newest version of The Legend of Zelda, and the game finally has a subtitle with Breath of the Wild, and it looks quite impressive.  Nintendo will not show off its latest console to be unveiled in March 2017, but their new Zelda game was playable by attendees on the Wii U. 

We also knew that there was going to be a lot of talk about Pokémon, like a Q&A about Pokémon GO as well as Pokémon Sun and Moon.  Pokemon GO finally has a release date for iOS and Android in July. 

Microsoft

The owners of the Xbox One hosted its E3 press conference on Monday, June 13, a day before the conference officially begins.  The company announced its Project Scorpio and the Xbox One S, which Forbes says might be Microsoft shooting itself in the foot as they are creating a better version of their own Xbox One.  Then there was also the whole cross-play going on. 

Sony

The PlayStation owner had its conference on June 13, at 6 PM PST.  It was known by then that the rumored PlayStation Neo (PS4K or PS4.5) would not be available, but there was some more information revealed on the PlayStation VR. Sony did reveal the release date of October 13. 

It was expected that the company would show off games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo Sport, and possibly The Last Guardian, Shenmue III, Final Fantasy VII Remake, God of War 4, and a new Ratchet and Clank.  There could also be another announcement of the Crash Bandicoot franchise from Naughty Dog. 

We know now that Crash Bandicoot will be coming to the PS4, with a remastering of the first three games.  A new God of War is indeed coming, according to Ubergizmo.  There is also going to be a new Spider-Man game, and The Last Guardian also has its final release date.  Oh yes, there will be Resident Evil 7, and Hideo Kojima, creator of Metal Gear Solid, is working on a PS4 game known as Death Stranding.   

Ubisoft

It is expected that the company will unveil some information about Watch Dogs 2, as well as For Honor, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands, and South Park: The Fractured but Whole.  There is also report of a brand new AAA franchise, and it was on June 13 at 1 PM PST according to the Irish Examiner. 

The company did announced Steep, which is an open world action sports game that allows the user to travel down fierce mountain cliffs by skiing, snowboarding, paragliding, or just jumping with wing-suits.  There was also Star Trek: Bridge Crew, a VR game attempting to go where no game has gone before.  Oh, and more information about the South Park game was revealed, and it is a slam on this trend of heroes vs. heroes that have been happening in both DC and Marvel movies. 

EA

The company had its big announcement on June 12, at 1 PM PST.  As expected, they don't have a booth, but will have their own event around the corner.  On deck was Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, Mass Effect: Andromeda, as well as FIFA 17.  It is possible that another Star Wars game could be coming, and it looks like Star Wars Battlefront 2 coming next year from DICE. 

Bethesda

The company had its press conference on June 12, at 7 PM PST.  It will be expected that Dishonored 2will be on display, and there might be more on Prey 2, Fallout 4 DLC, Doom DLC, and possibly Skyrim . As it turned out, Skyrim will be remastered, but not a new iteration of the game.  Prey is also getting a new reimagining as well.  Then there is also Quake Champions, and other EA announcements.
